I’ve always been creative, and my Mom was an artist. As a young person I expressed my creativity in more physical ways- ice skating, gymnastics, dance, and I competed in triathlons and mountain biking. In my late 20’s when I didn’t have a care in the world, my life turned upside down. I became very ill , and was diagnosed with Crohns Disease. Hospitalizations, and years of treatments slowed me down physically. I needed a new creative outlet, and this is when I turned to ART-Life drawing to be exact. I fell in love with charcoal against paper and expressing human movement through these means. 30 years later, I am still captivated by the endless possibilities in artmaking. Making art is never static, its always in motion, always changing.
I love hearing peoples stories. What’s your story?
