I started painting again after a long break….since the pandemic lockdown.  I realized how important my “Monday Morning Art Group” was to me. and working with a live model, but that is over, and who knows when it will come back.  Working with models is a very grounding discipline, and would start my week off. So for a few months I had a list of excuses to stay out of the studio. I just wasn’t motivated. I needed a jumpstart, so I enrolled in an Abstract Painting Course taught by my friend, Melinda Cootsona. For the month of Sept. I think I painted everyday. I am looking forward to taking my art in a more abstract direction, changing course a bit, and mixing it up. These faces were out of my imagination, limiting  the time to about 3 minutes.
